Details:
On or about Monday, March 22nd, 2021, an accident between a log truck and a train sent two people to the hospital. State police said the accident happened at a crossing on East McIver Road just outside Darlington, South Carolina.
Troopers from the SCHP said two people were injured when a train slammed into a log truck. Paramedics transported the log truck driver and the train engineer to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the incident.
Officials said the scene took several hours to clean up as a result of HAZMAT spills.
Multiple agencies are tending to the scene of the accident.
