On or about Monday, May 9th, 2022, around 1:30 in the morning, an accident between a truck and a scooter sent two individuals to the hospital. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of 8th Street and San Jacinto in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when the scooter they were on was allegedly hit by a truck as they were driving near 8th and San Jacinto. Paramedics transported two people on the scooter to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of 8th Street and San Jacinto is situated in downtown Austin.
Police are still investigating the accident.
