Details:
On or about Tuesday, June 29th, 2021. an accident between a utility truck and a scooter sent a teen and a child to the hospital. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Ira Street and Fletcher Street in Atlanta, Georgia.
Officers from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified 18-year-old and a child were taken to the hospital after a utility truck allegedly struck them as they were riding a scooter at or near the intersection of Fletcher Street and Ira Street near Pittman Park. Paramedics transported the victims to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Fletcher Street and Ira Street is situated in a residential area a short distance south of downtown Atlanta.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
