Details:
On or about Tuesday, June 1st, 2021, around 6:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tanker truck accident sent two people to the hospital. Officers said the accident was reported on Interstate 85 below the Interstate 77 overpass in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Authorities said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when the tanker truck they were in allegedly lost control and rolled in the southbound lanes of Interstate 85. Emergency responders transported the driver and passenger in the truck to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 85 and Interstate 77 is situated a short distance north of downtown Charlotte.
