Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 20th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a minivan sent two women to the hospital. Authorities from the ISP said the accident was reported at the intersection of 24th Street and Maple Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa.
Officers from the Des Moines Police Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield at the intersection and slammed into a minivan. Emergency responders transported two women from the minivan to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of 24th Street and Maple Avenue is on the west side of Des Moines.
Officials are still examining the cause of the accident.
