Two Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident with School Bus on Highway 21 at Megan Drive in Brazos County

On or about Thursday, October 29th, 2020, around 6:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer, a school bus, and an SUV sent two people to the hospital. Authorities said the accident happened on Highway 21 at Megan Drive near Kurten in Brazos County, Texas.

Officers said that two people were hurt when a tractor-trailer allegedly rear-ended a school bus that was stopped and loading a child. After the initial collision the tractor-trailer struck a nearby SUV. A child from the bus, as well as the driver of the SUV were taken to area hospitals to be treated for unknown injuries.

Looking at the roadway on Google Maps shows that Highway 21 is four lanes with a very wide median dividing east and westbound traffic. Brazos County is situated about 100 miles northwest of Houston.

Texas Department of Public Safety are still investigating the accident.
