On or about Thursday, December 9th, 2021, a serious collision between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the NCHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 321 South and State Highway 10 in Catawba County, North Carolina.

Spokespeople from the North Carolina Highway Patrol said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when the pickup truck they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was on the side of the roadway at or near the intersection of Highway 321 South and State Highway 10. Emergency responders transported two people in the truck from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

According to Google Maps, Catawba County is about 43 miles northwest of Charlotte.

Police are still examining the cause of the collision.
