Details:
On or about Sunday, February 27th, 2022, around 10:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck sent two 15-year-olds to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 63 not far from the exchange with Farm-to-Market Road 1415 in Burkeville, Texas.
Officials from the area said two as-of-yet unidentified 15-year-old girls were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the pickup truck they were in as they slowed to attempt a turn on Highway 63. Paramedics transported the two teen girls to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
Authorities identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 61-year-old Claude Diamond, who was cited for failure to control speed in connection with the collision.
Officials are still investigating.
