On or about Thursday, December 9th, 2021, sometime in the afternoon, a serious chain-reaction accident between a car, a pickup truck with county plates, and a tractor-trailer sent two people to the hospital. Representatives from the Nebraska State Patrol said the accident was reported along Highway 75 in Otoe County, Nebraska.
Officials said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a pickup truck with county plates allegedly crossed over the center line of Highway 75 after a collision with a tractor-trailer when it struck a passenger vehicle in oncoming traffic. Emergency responders airlifted the driver of the pickup truck to a hospital, while the driver of the passenger vehicle was taken by ambulance.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance south of Nebraska City, which is about 43 miles south of Omaha.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
