On or about Sunday, May 16th, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left two people hurt. Spokespeople from the Millard County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Interstate 15 in Filmore, Utah.
Troopers from the Utah Highway Patrol said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly lost control and struck a grassy incline a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders cut the victims from the wreckage and rushed them to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 15 runs north and south through the center of Filmore, which is about 145 miles south of Salt Lake City.
Police hope to release more details at a later date.
