Details:
On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, around 2:11 in the afternoon, a serious accident between a passenger vehicle sent a woman and infant to the hospital by helicopter. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 15 near the exchange with Stoddard Wells Road in Victorville, California.
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol said an as-of-yet unidentified woman and her infant passenger were injured when the car they were in allegedly collided with the back of a tractor-trailer that was changing a tire on the side of I-15. Emergency responders airlifted the woman and child to the hospital with serious injuries stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, Victorville is about 84 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
