On or about Monday, July 18th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 22 in Union County, Mississippi.
Law enforcement spokespeople said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer and a car collided under unknown conditions. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer crashed into a wooded patch a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported two people from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 22 runs east and west through Union County, with the scene of the accident situated not far from the New Albany city limits.
Police hope to release more information about the accident as soon as it becomes available.
