On or about Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020, around 2:30 in the morning, an accident between several tractor-trailers sent two individuals to the hospital. State Troopers said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 40 just outside Sedillo Hill in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.

Authorities said two as-of-yet unidentified people were hurt when ten tractor-trailers collided in a major chain-reaction accident in the eastbound lanes. Officers did not elaborate on how the accident may have started, nor did they mention any private vehicles that may have been involved. Two people were taken from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

Examining Interstate 40 on Google Maps shows a six lane roadway, with a concrete barrier dividing east and westbound traffic. The scene of the accident is situated about 24 miles east of Albuquerque.

State and local law enforcement are still investigating the accident.
