Details:
On or about Sunday, April 9th, 2021, around 4:20 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer sent two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported on the southbound side of Interstate 45 near Palmer, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the back of a disabled pickup truck in the roadway. Paramedics transported the driver and passenger in the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
Interstate 45 runs north and south through the eastern side of Palmer, which is about 27 miles south of downtown Dallas, according to Google Maps.
Police are still investigating the accident.
