On or about Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, a serious chain-reaction accident between a tractor-trailer and several passenger vehicles sent at least two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 5 near the exchange with Mercer Street in Seattle, Washington.
Officers from the Seattle Police Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer and multiple passenger vehicles collided in a major chain-reaction accident along the southbound side of I-5. One of the passenger vehicles became pinned under the tractor-trailer in the accident. Paramedics transported two individuals from the scene to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated about miles north of downtown Seattle.
Police are still investigating the crash.
