Details:
On or about Wednesday, May 12th, 2021, around 7:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent two people to the hospital. Officials from the CHP said the accident happened along the southbound side of Interstate 5 near Redding, California.
Police said two people were taken to the hospital after the tractor-trailer they were in lost control and rolled in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5. Paramedics airlifted the truck driver to a nearby hospital, while a passenger was treated for unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Officers did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from O’Brien Road, about 19 miles north of Redding.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
