On or about Friday, December 31st, 2021, sometime in the evening hours, a major tractor-trailer accident with several parked vehicles sent two individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the OSHP said the accident was reported at a rest stop just off the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Morristown in Belmont County, Ohio.

Authorities from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly crashed into multiple parked vehicles before it collided with a structure at the I-70 rest stop. Paramedics transported two individuals from the scene to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Police did not indicate which vehicle or vehicles the victims were in at the time of the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Morristown, which is situated roughly 108 miles east of Columbus.
