Details:
On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 2:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent a 27-year-old woman and a 54-year-old woman to the hospital. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 90/94 in Delton, Wisconsin.
Deputies from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office said an as-of-yet unidentified 27-year-old woman was injured when the car she was driving allegedly struck a tractor-trailer head-on while she may have been driving the wrong direction on I-90/94. Paramedics transported the 27-year-old woman to UW Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified only as a 54-year-old woman, who was taken to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 90/94 winds east and west through Delton, which is about 47 miles northeast of Madison.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
