On or about Thursday, December 30th, 2021, around 3:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles sent two individuals to the hospital. Deputies from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Route 12 just outside West Turin, New York.

Investigators said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident on Route 12. Emergency responders transported two people from the scene to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not specify which vehicle or vehicles the victims were in at the time of the collision.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 76 miles northeast of Syracuse.

Officials are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
