On or about Monday, November 15th, 2021, around 4:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent two individuals to the hospital. Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along State Route 37 in Theresa, New York.

Authorities from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old nab were injured when the car they were in allegedly crossed over the center line of State Route 37 and struck an 18=wheeler in the oncoming lanes. Emergency responders transported the 19-year-old driver and the 20-year-old passenger to nearby Samaritan Medical Center with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, State Route 37 runs north and south along the western edge of Theresa, which is about 90 miles north of Syracuse.

Investigators are still examining the cause of the incident.
