On or about Friday, October 8th, 2021, around 5:45 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and four other vehicles sent two people to the hospital. Troopers from the VSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Route 58 in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Investigators said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer and four other vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident on Route 58 near Hampton Roads Executive Airport. Officials said the tractor-trailer rolled to one side after the accident. Paramedics transported two people to the hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.

According to Google Maps, Route 58 runs east and west, with the scene of the accident a short distances southeast of downtown Chesapeake.

Police are still working to pin down the cause of the incident.
