On or about Monday, August 30th, 2021, around 12:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a semi truck sent two individuals to the hospital. Authorities from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department said the accident occurred along Route 6 in Braintrim Township, Pennsylvania.

Police said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered over the center line of Highway 6 and struck an 18-wheeler heading the opposite direction. One of the truck drivers was airlifted to the hospital, while the other was taken by ground with unspecified injuries. Officials did not mention any other injuries in their statement on the accident.

According to Google Maps, Route 6 runs east and west along the southern edge of Braintrim Township, which is about 40 miles northwest of Scranton.

Authorities are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
