Details:
On or about Friday, February 4th, 2022, around 11:15 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a train sent two individuals to the hospital. Authorities from the LSP said the accident was reported along Highway 169 near the exchange with McGee Road just outside Greenwood in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.
Troopers from the Louisiana State Police said two as-of-yet unidentified Union Pacific train operators were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the train at a crossing. Paramedics transported the two train operators to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps. the scene of the accident is about 16 miles west of downtown Shreveport.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
