Details:
On or about Thursday, January 21st, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a pickup hauling a trailer and another truck sent two people to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 62/82 and FM 1585 in Lubbock, Texas.
Authorities said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a Chevrolet pickup towing a trailer tried to cross Highway 62/82 and was hit broadside by a Ford F-150. The Chevrolet pickup trolled on it’s side after the collision. Paramedics transported the drivers of both trucks to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Highway 62/82 is four lanes, with a grassy median dividing north and southbound traffic. FM 1585 has a stop sign at the intersection.
Texas DPS and local law enforcement responded to the scene of the accident.
