Details:
On or about Thursday, April 29th, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between a van and a box truck sent two people to the hospital. Authorities from the SLPD said the accident happened at the exchange of Interstate 15 and 400 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Investigators said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when the van they were in allegedly struck a barrier and launched airborne into a box truck that was stopped at a red light. Paramedics transported the driver and a passenger in the van to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. Police said the van was being used by a moving company at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 15 runs north and south, while 400 South runs east and west – with the intersection situated a short distance west of downtown Salt Lake City.
Police are still investigating.
