Details:
On or about Friday, October 22nd, 2021, around 6:25 in the morning, an accident between a box truck, a pickup truck, an SUV and a car left two people dead and send a third individual to the hospital. Troopers from the SCHP said the accident was reported along Highway 17 Alternate near the intersection with Canaan Road in Dorchester County, South Carolina.
Investigators said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed while a third was injured when a northbound pickup truck and a southbound box truck collided under unknown conditions. After the initial collision with the box truck, the pickup truck struck a nearby car, which then struck a nearby SUV. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car and the driver of the pickup truck dead, while the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Dorchester County is situated on the northwest side of Charleston.
Police are still investigating the incident.
