Details:
On or about Sunday, March 10th, 2022, around 12:40 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and two pedestrians left two people dead. Authorities from the EPPD said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 not far from the exchange with Porfirio Diaz Street in El Paso, Texas.
Officials from the area said two as-of-=yet unidentified individuals were killed when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of I-10. Paramedics pronounced the victims dead of their injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if they died at the scene or if they were rushed to a nearby hospital where one of them succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about a mile west of downtown El Paso.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
