Details:
On or about Sunday, January 30th, 2022, around 4:42 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a box truck left two people dead and sent a third to the hospital. Officials from the ISP said the accident was reported along Route 3 near the exchange with Route 127 in Alexander County, Illinois.
Representatives from the Illinois State Police said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the box truck they were in allegedly veered over the center line of Route 3 and slammed into a Mercedes driven by 47-year-old Correy Wilson to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Alexander County is about 133 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
