On or about Thursday, May 20th, 2021, around 10:00 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a flatbed truck left a woman and child dead. Officials from the WVSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Route 50 and Sunnyside in Doddridge County, West Virginia.
Local law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified woman and child were killed when their SUV and a flatbed truck collided under unspecified circumstances. Paramedics pronounced the woman and child in the SUV dead after the crash, while the driver of the flatbed was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Route 50 runs east and west through the center of Doddridge County, which is roughly 126 miles northeast of Charleston.
Police are still investigating.
