On or about Monday, November 15th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left two people dead and sent two others to the hospital. Troopers from the California Highway Patrol said the accident was reported along Grimes Canyon Road in Moorpark, California.

Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed, while two others were injured when a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided under unknown conditions. Police described the collision as head-on, but did not indicate which of the vehicles may have crossed over the center line of Grimes Canyon Road. Two occupants in the car were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third occupant and the driver of the tractor-trailer were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

According to Google Maps, Grimes Canyon Road winds north and south through Moorpark, which is about 47 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.
