On or about Thursday, June 30th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a box truck, a passenger vehicle, and three tractor-trailers left two people dead and sent a third person to the hospital. Troopers from the GSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 75 in Bartow County, Georgia.

Representatives from the Georgia State Patrol said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of another 18-wheeler, causing a chain-reaction accident with a third semi truck, a box truck, and a passenger vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced two of the tractor-trailer drivers dead of their injuries, while the third tractor-trailer driver was transported to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from mile marker 293.

Multiple agencies responded to assist at the scene of the crash.
