Details:
On or about Tuesday, December 1st, 2020, sometime before 11:30 in the morning, an accident between a car and an 18-wheeler left a man and a woman dead. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on FM 1826 near Highway 45 just outside Austin, Texas.
Texas DPS said a man and a woman were killed when the Kia they were in was allegedly broadsided by an 18-wheeler. Authorities did not elaborate on the sequence of events that led to the collision. The driver and passenger in the Kia were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Streetview, FM 1826 is two lanes that run north and south. The roadway is wooded on either side. The scene of the accident is about 22 miles southwest of downtown Austin.
State and local law enforcement are still investigating the incident.
