On or about Friday, February 18th, 2022, around 4:00 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left two individuals dead. Authorities from the CHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Herring Road and Old River Road in Bakersfield, California.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the vehicle they were in was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Herring Road and Old River Road. Emergency responders pronounced two individuals in the car dead of their injuries, while a third was rushed to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Herring Road and Old River Road is on the south side of Bakersfield.
