On or about Wednesday, March 10th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left two people dead. Troopers from the FHP said the accident happened on the southbound side of Highway 27 near Cypress Gardens Boulevard in Winter Haven, Florida.
Law enforcement spokespeople said two people were killed when a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided under unspecified circumstances. Two people were pronounced dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement.
Photos from the scene of the accident appear to show the car may have burst into flames following the initial collision.
Winter Haven is about 46 miles southwest of Orlando, according to Google Maps.
