On or about Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle left two individauls dead. Authorities from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 33 near the exchange with Marshall Road in Merced County, California.

Spokespeople from the California Highway Patrol said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the motorcycle they were on crashed under unknown circumstances before the bike, and possibly the occupants were struck by a nearby tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced both victims dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.

According to Google Maps, the exchange of Marshall Road and Highway 33 is about 111 miles southeast of downtown San Francisco.
