On or about Tuesday, June 21st, 2022, around 4:30 in the morning, a serious accident between a tractor-trailer and three other vehicles left two people dead and sent another person to the hospital. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 59 in Merced County, California.
Local law enforcement representatives said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed and another person was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered over the center line of Highway 59 and struck three other passenger vehicles. Two people were pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. One other person was taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Furtado Road.
Police are still looking into the accident.
