Details:
On or about Monday, June 7th, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left two individuals dead. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported on the eastbound side of Interstate 20 in Midland County, Texas.
Texas DPS Troopers said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the car they were in allegedly struck the back of an 18-wheeler in the eastbound lanes of I-20. After the initial accident, the car burst into flames. Both the driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement on the crash.
Interstate 20 runs east and west through the northern edge of Midland County, with the scene of the accident situated not far from Farm-to-Market 1788, according to Google Maps.
