Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, an accident between an 18-wheeler and two other vehicles left two people dead. Deputies from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened along Interstate 270 near Highway 370 in Bridgeton, Missouri.
Authorities said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when a tractor-trailer and two other cars collided in a chain-reaction accident. Officials did not speculate as to what may have started the crash in their initial statement. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the tractor-trailer and an occupant of one of the cars dead at the scene of the accident.
Google Maps shows Bridgeton is situated about 19 miles northwest of downtown St. Louis.
Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
