On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 8:35 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left two people dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported in the southbound 5300 block of Interstate 35’s upper deck in Austin, Texas.
Police from the area said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when a tractor-trailer and a car collided under unspecified circumstances on the southbound upper deck of I-35. Authorities said at least one of the vehicles burst into flames after the crash. Emergency responders pronounced two people dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene, but officials did not specify which vehicles the victims were in at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated on the north side of Austin.
Police are still investigating.
