Details:
On or about Sunday, February 7th, 2021, around 10:24 at night, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left two people dead. Representatives from the Texas DPS said the accident happened along Interstate 35 just outside San Marcos in Hays County, Texas on Sunday, February 7th, 2021.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the Jeep they were in allegedly struck a tractor-trailer that was parked just off the side of the roadway. Police said the Jeep burst into flames following the initial collision. Both occupants in the Jeep died at the scene of the accident.
Interstate 35 runs north and south directly through the center of San Marcos, which is about 49 miles northeast of San Antonio.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating the accident at this time.
