Details:
On or about Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between two tractor-trailers claimed the lives of both truck drivers. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident occurred along Interstate 45 in Walker County, Texas.
Officers from the area said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered over the center line of Interstate 45 and slammed into another semi truck in the oncoming lanes. Emergency responders pronounced both victims dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, runs north and south through the center of Walker County, which is about 77 miles north of downtown Houston.
State and local law enforcement are investigating the incident.
