Details:
On or about Thursday, January 21st, 2021, around 12:09 in the morning, an accident between a car and a disabled tractor-trailer left two people dead. Spokespeople from the Highway Patrol said the accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 71 near Interstate 480 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Troopers from the Ohio State Police said a 46-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were killed when the car they were in allegedly collided with a disabled tractor-trailer. The 18-wheeler had apparently sustained a tire blowout and pulled off to the shoulder, but the trailer was partially in the lane of traffic at the time of the accident. Both occupants in the car were pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 71 is 8 lanes that run north and south through the area.
Cleveland Police and Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
