On or about Friday, June 4th, 2021, around 3:03 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler left two people dead. Spokespeople from the OSHP said the accident happened on Interstate 75 near Hopple Street in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Officials said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly crossed from the southbound lanes and slammed into a northbound 18-wheeler. The driver and passenger of the southbound tractor-trailer were pronounced dead of their injuries a short time after the truck burst into flames after the collision. Paramedics treated the driver of the northbound tractor-trailer for unspecified injuries at the scene.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 75 runs north and south, with the scene of the accident situated not far from from the Hopple Street exit, a short distance north of downtown Cincinnati.

Police are still examining the cause of the crash.
