Details:
On or about Wednesday, November 24th, 2021, around 2:00 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a car claimed the lives of two individuals. Troopers from the NCHP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 85 near the exchange with Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Law enforcement spokespeople said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the car they were in was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer hauling mail in the middle lane of Interstate 85. Officials said the victim’s vehicle may have stopped to tend to the scene of a previous collision. Emergency responders pronounced both victims dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 85 and Billy Graham Parkway is on the west side of Charlotte.
Police are still working to pin down exactly what happened in the accident.
