Details:
On or about Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, around 3:18 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler left two men dead. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 90 just outside Oakdale in Monroe County, Wisconsin.
Police said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when a tractor-trailer and another semi truck collided under unspecified circumstances, After the initial impact, one of the tractor-trailers rolled. One truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
Authorities closed all the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 for several hours in order to tend to the scene of the accident.
Police are still investigating.
