Details:
On or about Thursday, June 9th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a van left a child and an adult dead. Troopers from the NCHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 just outside Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Officials from the North Carolina Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified child was killed when the van they were in was allegedly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer along Interstate 95. Emergency responders pronounced the child and the driver of the tractor-trailer dead of their injuries following the accident. The driver of the van was transported to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with State Highway 87.
