On or about Sunday, November 14th, 2021, around 2:30 in the afternoon, a major accident between a car and a flatbed truck left two individuals dead. Deputies from the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Munger Hill Road and State Route 3 in Mexico, New York.

Law enforcement spokespeople said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the car they were in allegedly failed to yield at the intersection of Munger Hill Road and State Route 3 when it struck a flatbed truck in the intersection. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of and passenger in the car dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the flatbed truck was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, the town of Mexico is about 36 miles north of downtown Syracuse.

Police are still investigating.
