Details:
On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a panel van and a tractor-trailer left two individuals dead. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 40 in Kingston, Tennessee.
Authorities from the Tennessee State Patrol said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed when the panel van they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40. Emergency responders pronounced the driver and passenger in the panel van dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 cuts east and west through Kingston, which is about 36 miles southwest of downtown Knoxville.
