Details:
On or about Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, around 12:00 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a heavy duty truck left two people dead. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Highway 130 near the exchange with Elroy Road in Austin, Texas.
Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when the pickup truck they were in allegedly veered off the side of the road and slammed into a Ford E-350 heavy-duty truck that was parked on the shoulder of the roadway. Paramedics pronounced two people in the pickup dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Highway 130 and Elroy Road is a short distance southeast of downtown Austin.
Texas DPS and local officials assisted at the scene of the accident.
