On or about Tuesday, January 11th, 2022, in the early morning hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV sent two 17-year-old boys to the hospital. Representatives from the FHP said the accident was reported at the exchange of Interstate 95 and Dunn Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida.
Authorities from the area said two as-of-yet unidentified 17-year-old boys were injured when the SUV they were in was allegedly struck by a turning tractor-trailer at the intersection of I-95 and Dunn. Paramedics transported the victims to a nearby hospital where one was listed in critical condition and another in serious condition. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 95 and Dunn Avenue is on the north side of Jacksonville.
Police are still working to pin down exactly what happened in the accident.
